A true one-of-a-kind by clay artist Laurie Pollpeter-Eskenazi. This hand thrown studio pottery vase layers texture, color, and pattern from foot to rim. The body glows in a soft turquoise-green glaze with hints of rust where the clay shows through. Above that, a band of carved dots and zigzags leads up to two twisted rope handles in bright green.
The flared, wavy rim steals the show. It carries a stamped lattice pattern with hand painted red and green daisies, plus a band of raised red medallions just below. The unglazed foot shows a red and black painted stripe, and the base carries the artist's incised signature.
